Balarama Jayanti – Appearance Day of Lord Balarama
Balarama Jayanti commemorates the divine advent of Lord Balarama—the powerful elder brother of Lord Sri Krishna—who bestows the spiritual strength needed to overcome life’s obstacles. Falling on the Shravana Purnima (full-moon day) each year, devotees fast until noon, pray for strength on the path of devotion, and then rejoice in a grand evening festival.
At our temples the celebrations unfold in traditional splendor on Friday, August 8th, 2025 (Shravana Purnima)
