Sri Nityananda Trayodashi celebrates the auspicious appearance of Sri Nityananda Prabhu, the embodiment of mercy and compassion. Devotees traditionally fast until noon and pray for His blessings to advance in spiritual life.

Sri Nityananda Prabhu, who appeared in Ekachakra in 1474 AD, is Lord Balarama Himself and represents guru-tattva. By His mercy, one can understand Lord Krishna and awaken true spiritual happiness beyond temporary material pleasures.
